705 Back Country Ski Patrol & The Boardroom are hosting Avalanche Awareness Night, this coming Thursday evening at The Boardroom. Don’t be caught unprepared. Brush up on the latest in companion rescue and avalanche avoidance. This class is being held for Free and will run from 7:00-10:00pm. With more and more people venturing out into the backcountry, the need for proper education, awareness and safety is all that much more important. We look forward to seeing you at The Boardroom this Thursday for some great info on staying safe in the backcountry.

Thanks to everyone who made it out for The Boardrooms 15th annual movie premier. A few of the best new shred flicks of the season were shown, great vibe in the air from all who attended and tons of raffle prizes including boards, boots, outerwear kits and more were up for grabs throughout the evening.

National Go Skate Day is upon us and The Boardroom wants you to come out and celebrate with us! Thursday, June 21st We’ll have a majority of the TBR mobile park set up in the backlot (Minus The Beast. Sorry it just won’t fit!), we’ll have team guys BBQ’ out back, hosting a High Ollie comp and will be handing out prizes throughout the day. So come out, stop by, skate the backlot and celebrate National Go Skate Day with The Boardroom!
Release waivers must be signed prior to entering the backlot. Parent/Guardian signatures required for those under 18. Pre-register at The Boardroom 7 days a week.
The Boise Skateboard Association is hosting a Rhodes skatepark fundraiser at the R Bar on Wednesday, June 13th from 8pm-11pm. $5 Cover gets you your first drink and raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets available for purchase at $5. All money raised will be donated to Boise Skateboard Association in support of our mission to rebuild Rhodes Skatepark. So come out, have a cold one, snag a chance to win some big prizes and support local skateboarding and a great cause in improving and making Rhodes skatepark an Idaho destination!
The free skate session on Saturday and skate comp on Sunday went off over the Memorial day weekend. Thanks to everyone who was able to make it out! The new “Beast”, 36′ feature in the mobile skatepark was well received and saw some pretty insane tricks thrown throughout the weekend. Keep an eye out for future additions, improvements and enhancements to the Beast for next year!

The Boardroom has teamed up with the first annual 208Tat2fest, holding a Jam style skateboard competition, next Sunday, May 27th from 1-5pm in the Expo Center at The Idaho Fairgrounds. Three categories – Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Tons of great prizes. We have a monstrous new 36′ skate feature that we are excited to unleash during the 208tat2fest. Saturday, May 26th we will host an open skate session for pre-registered participants from Noon-10pm. You can pre-register for the event at The Boardroom or purchase passes for either a day or weekend if you’d just like to check out the festival. A one day pass is $15 or a full weekend pass to the festival is $30, but all who pre-register for the skate event will receive a full weekend pass for just $15. A portion of the proceeds will go to the BSA Rebuild Rhodes campaign. TBR will be hosting another on-snow demo this weekend at Bogus Basin, Saturday, March 18th from 9am-4pm where you can take out as many different boards from some of the best companies out there and put em through the test.
